New Look Wireless 10 | Wireless Competition

When a much loved festival, such as Wireless hits a 10 year landmark; it is only right that they throw a big ole party!

On Sunday, the lovely people at New Look invited myself and some of my pals along to Wireless 10 to help celebrate this wonderful occasion and it just so happened some of my favourite artists were performing... cue a very happy, Danie!

The weather went from miserable and wet to warm and sunny, everyone was soaking up the festival atmosphere and for someone like me who doesn't fancy a long weekend of camping and no showering; a one day, London based festival is absolutely perfect.

New Look made sure I was festival ready with a tote bag full of festival survival items including sunglasses and gold stick on tattoos... I'm still trying to wash those off by the way. They also gifted me a rucksack which was perfect as I could load it up with everything I needed and it left my hands free to wave around to the likes of Boy Better Know and Drake.

Here are my fave snaps from the day, my outfit details and if you keep scrolling, you'll see I have some very exciting news for you!

Graduate Fashion Week with George at Asda

A few weeks back I was lucky enough to be invited to Graduate Fashion Week, by George at Asda. They asked me to do a social media take over for them and I was honestly so happy they asked me because as a plus size woman; it felt amazing that they wanted me to represent their brand. They could have picked any one of their bloggers but they trusted me to do a good job and I am so thankful I got to experience my first Graduate Fashion Week whilst representing their brand.

For those who don't know, Graduate Fashion Week is a spectacular event, held over 4 days which showcases the talents and creativity of thousands of students across the world. Held in the Truman Brewery, London GFW's main sponsor is George and this was also another reason I felt so honoured to be able to attend and watch some fantastic fashion shows from the FROW, in some cases I was right at the front, next to the judges.

GFW not only features catwalk shows, but each university that takes part in the event also exhibits their students work, you can attend interesting and inspiring talks and the fact that you could potentially watch shows or even speak to the next Stella McCartney or Giles Deacon, is amazing. This was my first time attending GFW and it definitely won't be my last!

I live tweeted from the event on Georges' twitter and Instagram accounts on the Sunday and it was so nice to be able to show my followers as well as Georges' some of the amazing talent I witnessed going down the catwalks. One of my favourite parts of the day was when I walked round all of the exhibition spaces and met lots of the students. Looking through their sketchbooks and chatting to them about their collections and hearing them talk about their dreams was so inspiring.

Here are some of my favourite snaps from the day as well as a behind the scenes look at Graduate Fashion week:

The cutest award as well as the winner of the George Design Competition went to Amy Lee Ryan, from the University of Salford for her kids wear collection.

My favourite collection from the week had to be from Chloe Draper, from the University of East London. The beautiful prints, the white accessories and oversized garments and rucksacks were so amazing. I reallllllly want one of her pieces!

Wacky, fun and bright - Danielle Spencer's collection from UEL ticked all the boxes. I loved her energy and her fab range.

Danielle Spencers sketch book
Danielle Davies from UEL showed us how to do sequins in the best way - glitzy and glam and very wearable.

Jumpsuit Joy

It's Friday - hurray! I wanted to show you all a comfy casual outfit today. Now if you have followed my blog for a while, you'll know that I hardly ever wear trousers or jumpsuits but in recent months I have been trying to push myself and wear things that are out of my comfort zone. I previously blogged about a black jumpsuit (here) and that was the first time I'd ever tried that sort of style and I love, love, love wearing that jumpsuit now.

When Fashionchick recently gifted me a box of treats, I saw they had included a *printed jumpsuit and at first I was a bit apprehensive about trying it on but once it was on; I felt so comfortable. You all know that I love putting individual garments together to create my outfits but sometimes you just want to throw on one item and be done with it!

You might be surprised to know that this jumpsuit is from Marks and Spencers and is available in their PLUS range in sizes 18 - 32 and you should check out what they have online because they have some lovely bits. You can also buy this particular jumpsuit from their main range as well.

I kept the accessories for the outfit relatively simple and teamed the jumpsuit with my new *Superga Silver Shoes, an old holographic fold over clutch from New Look and matte silver hoops from New Look.

REN - CLEAN SKIN GIFT SET | MARKS & SPENCERS

Skin care is a quite a mine field wouldn't you say? We all have different skin types and some of us are allergic to certain products and knowing what to try is always hard because ALL products EVER are meant to be incredible.

I was lucky to be blessed with good skin for many years but when I moved back home for a year or so; my skin went nuts and I broke out all the time, I had eczema on my chin and dry patches every where. I also went from having an even skin tone, to having lots of redness or Rosacea if we are being fancy. Whilst at home my friend recommended I switched up my skin care routine and try some REN products. Guys, I have never looked back. A combination of REN and La Roshe Posay have worked wonders on all my skin problems and I now feel more confident than ever strutting around with a bare face.

I use REN's Hot Cloth Cleanser religiously as well as their Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream and I was genuinely excited when my best friend told me M&S were were selling 2X Hot Cloth Cleaners (mini flannels inc), 1X Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream + 1x Flash Rinse all packaged up in a gift set for a mere £20. A cleanser on its own is £16. So something that should normally cost you £51 is in fact only £20! B.A.R.G.A.I.N

Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser promises to 'purifie, decongest, gently exfoliate and remove all make-up' - In my opinion it does what it says on the tin. It has a lovely rich, creamy consistency and a lovely light rose scent. I use this at the end of the day when it's time to take off my make up and I use their lighter 'Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Gel for Sensitive Skin' in the morning or if I'm having a break from heavy make up.

Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream is light, creamy and it doesn't leave my skin feeling clogged up or greasy. I use this in the morning before I apply my makeup and I use RENs 'Omega 3 Supreme Skin Face Oil' in the evening before going to bed. (The Skin Face Oil isn't included in the box but I have to say, that is probably my all time face skin product EVER and combined with the hot cloth cleanser and steering clear of face wipes; it has transformed my skin!)

Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial - this is a transforming treatment that you can use every now and then and it perks your skin up, rejuvenates it and it feels like you're giving your skin such a treat! After I have used Flash Rinse my skin looks all dewy and glows!

And VoilĂ  - this is me without a scrap of makeup on, something I would never of shown whilst I was experiencing so many problem areas! Let me know what you think of REN products or if you think you'll give this set a go.
