5 Perfect Black Halloween Dresses

I might be being hasty here but Halloween is just around the corner and I've noticed in previous years; all the amazing Halloween-y style outfits disappear and you're left with the same old ghost print leggings and cat ears (not that there's anything wrong with those items but you know what I mean)

I've been doing a spot of online browsing and these 5 plus size dresses really jumped out at me. They'd be perfect for those occasions where you want to dress up but not necessarily put yourself into a theme.

If you like the look of any of the items simply click the product and it'll take you directly to the online store!

LFW LOOK: Day 3 Simplicity

I only managed three out of the five days of London Fashion Week this season but for someone with a chronic pain condition; I think that's pretty good going. I *so* wish I could do more, attend after parties and still get up bright and early the next day to do it all again; but that's impossible for me. I have to take my time with everything, rest in-between shows and get myself home at a reasonable time. Oh the joy of Fibromyalgia! :-/

For the 3 days I was there, I had a ball and I really do love being immersed in the excitement of all the fashion and fabulous shows. For my last day I wanted the ultimate in fuss free dressing.

If I could wear one brand for the rest of my life it would probably be COS. I took a trip to my local store a week before LFW and I had my eye on a few items. I am SO happy I picked up this asymmetrical top as it was perfect for the minimal LFW look I had in mind. I am wearing a size 'L' here.

I have never, ever owned a pair of trousers like these ones from Marks and Spencers but oh my; I'm a convert. I have been really inspired recently by male fashion bloggers and I love the masculine edge these trousers bring to the look. I have so many outfit ideas in my head and can't wait to wear them repeatedly.

Whilst looking for my trousers I spotted the sleeveless grey jacket and I prayed that the size 'L' would fit me. It was the perfect jacket for a day running around London!

LFW Look: Day 2 A Thin Blue Line

Continuing on from my last post I wanted to share with you what I wore on Day 2 of London Fashion Week. I had so much fun putting my outfits together for this season of LFW and this was definitely my favourite look of the week.

I took a trip to my local M&S and scoured the store for some cute classics. I wanted a slip dress I'd seen online and I wanted to layer it over a white shirt. Marks and Spencers came to the rescue because I found this gorgeous floral slip dress and also this amazing ivory shirt.

The dress is a size 22 and skims my lumps and bumps perfectly! I love the soft touch of the fabric and it feels a lot more expensive than it actually is. The thing I love about M&S is that they do the same item in different lengths. This dress comes in 'short' and 'regular'.  The ivory shirt is so cute, I love the fluted sleeve which is bang on trend and I love the simple gold button fastening with frill panel.

To keep this look nice as relaxed, I paired it with some new Vagabond trainers and this gorgeous bag which I accessorised with a little scarf. I will be taking the bag back to Zara though as the clasp kept failing on me all day and I had to get help to open it every time I wanted to get in it!

Lastly, I fancied having a play with my usual makeup and I picked up this blue liquid eyeliner recently so I slicked it on with some orange eyeshadow to compliment the dress. What do you think?

LFW Look: Day 1 A Masculine Edge

It's that time of year again! LFW is here for another season and I couldn't be happier!
This week we were "blessed" with a mini heat wave but today the heavens decided to open and we were off to a very soggy start!

Keeping this gloomy weather in mind; I eased myself into fashion week with a very relaxed look. Although I could do heels for a few hours /an hour, I need to be able to walk around easily so flats are my go-to style of footwear. Once I'd chosen these amazing shoes, the rest of the outfit kind of fell into place as I knew I wanted a masculine edge to my look.

I have had this sleeveless trench coat for a few months now (sadly unavailable now online) and I am so glad I saved it for an occasion like LFW. It's the perfect coat for this time of year as it's very lightweight and I didn't feel like I was weighed down. Since trying out culottes (in previous post here) I have become obsessed with them. I do struggle to find the right fit but when I do; it's a glorious moment. I love these super soft, bushed culottes and they kept me warm as the day drew to a close. I pulled the whole look together with a simple white shirt and an over sized bag.

I had such a good Day 1 of LFW! It's always great to catch up with fellow bloggers, gawp at all the street style and watch incredible fashion shows! Here's to Day 2 when I'll be doing it all over again.

Thank you to The Apartment for giving me luscious LFW locks, my hair stayed curly all day and thank you to Comb for the fabulous outfit pictures.

Peach, please!

Do we see a theme here? Can you guess what colour I am obsessed with at the moment?
The answer, if you've not already guessed, is pink

Any shade or tone, I am in no way pink-ist towards any types of pink. As you can see in this outfit I've combined soft baby pinks, dirtier rosey pinks and peachy pinks; good old peach! All pinks are equal and all pinks should be loved ok?!

I shot this look a few weeks back when it was lovely and warm. I feel like this *might* be the last of my summer '16 looks...quite a sad prospect BUT raise your hand if you love autumn? I know I do and I cannot wait to build all those snuggly, layered looks! Bring it on I say!

I love this gorgeous *Elvi Sequin Top and *laser cut pleather skirt (on sale). Elvi really do offer amazing plus size pieces and if you haven't checked them out; then you really should! I have something SUPER exciting up my sleeve in collaboration with Elvi and I cannot wait to share it with you all! Keep your eyes peeled!

Lastly, my heels are from ASOS and part of their own brand, wide fit range. I am super impressed by their collection and this is my first venture into buying their wide fits... it won't be my last!

How to style a sheer blouse

Sheer fabrics, especially shirts/blouses can be quite scary, especially if you're worried about exposing all of your belly or you're not a fan of the world seeing every inch of your bra. The way I have combated this 'fear of sheer' is to find sheer garments that have busy prints on them, tucking them into high waisted skirts or trousers and finally; not giving a flying hoot what anyone thinks!

If you're a fan of sheer but it's classed as too risqué for work, add a strappy top underneath. This gorgeous Studio 8 blouse comes with a coordinating camisole and means you can easily turn this top  from a work wear staple to a sassy night time piece.

We all know that formal work wear isn't really my thing so I decided to style this blouse with a night time twist. I wore a simple, T-shirt bra underneath, tucked it into a voluminous skirt and added some killer heels. I can see myself coming back to this look all the time as it's so wearable and fuss free!
