Dinner with Evans

The day before I attended the Evans Collective fashion show, I attended a scrummy meal that saw a combination of some of Evans' fave US and UK bloggers and plus models. You can imagine how fabulous the atmosphere in that room was!
I had the chance to meet some ladies that I speak to all the time online but haven't actually met in person before, catch up with some of my fave US and UK bloggers and meet some ladies I have admired in the fashion world for a long time. It was such a fun night and the food at Kettners was phenomenal!

Evans presented us with a small selection of garments from their Cut for Evans collection and as ever with Evans' capsule collections - I was impressed! Keep your eyes peeled as I am sure I will blog more about this collection in the future. For now, here is the outfit I decided to wear and some snaps from the night. SO many beautiful fat babes!

Oh I do like to be beside the sea side...

The day after my friends wedding, I visited a local town called Broadstairs with some of my pals and spent the day eating ice cream, fish and chips and trying to get rid of my hangover. The sea air definitely helped all of us blow the cob webs away and there is some times nothing better than scoffing your face with naughty food!

We visited an AMAZING ice cream parlour. The decor was just so incredible... look at it! It's so pink and looks like it hasn't had a refurb in years! I actually said to my friend that I felt like I looked rather similar to an ice cream that day. My outfit was very fitting!

I thought Broadstairs was such a pretty sea side town. I want to go back there again for a weekend trip as it felt so relaxing there and there was plenty I didn't get to see.

As I previously said, I felt like my outfit was very apt for a day at the sea side. I looked like a strawberry ripple ice cream! My *pink neoprene jacket is the new love in my life. I was kindly gifted it at a pre London Fashion Week event hosted by Boohoo and it is a size Small from their main range. I haven't bought anything from their main range, just their plus collection and this just goes to show you should always try things out. Who would have thought I would fit into a Boohoo small?! The dress is an old ASOS Curve marble print smock dress, I borrowed my mates sunnies and of course I wore my high heeled plimsols from Office. I have lived in them all summer and I imagine I will be in them all winter as well.

Love this baby pink neoprene jacket!

Finally, heres a snap of me and my super cool mates.

What I wore to LFW

As you might have noticed from my previous post, last Tuesday I attended the Evans Collective runway show which coincided with London Fashion Week. Here's what I decided to wear for my day swanning around LFW.

Simply Be recently launched their second Look Magazine collection and it doesn't disappoint. I bought two pieces - the crackle print long sleeve shirt and the brushstroke printed skirt. I chose to wear the shirt with a plain black skirt but as you might have seen on the site, I love how they have styled their model in both the skirt and the shirt. I will definitely be wearing this combo on another day.

I sized up to a 22 in the shirt as my boobs tend to make button up shirts gap open. Throughout the day I did notice my shirt was gaping but it wasn't too bad. I had a top on under neath so I didn't end up flashing anyone whilst I was being filmed or papped.

I have blogged about this ASOS skirt before and I live in it! It's from their main range and I don't think it's available anymore but they have similar here. It's a size 14 and has so much stretch to it!

My 'Going Out Out' clutch bag receives so much attention when I go out. People are always asking where I got it from! Get yours here - they now also do it in black and gold. Jewellery wise, I wore my really old ASOS moustache brooch clipped to my collar and some fab rings from Daisy and Eve which you can buy from Evans. The black heels are from New Look and are wide fit. I have lived in them all summer and spent the day walking round LFW and I even walked from the catwalk venue to Covent Garden and they didn't rub me or make my feet hurt. I have to buy them in every colour before they sell out! Finally, I was recently sent this lovely *croc textured white blazer from the Simply Be ladies and it's going to see me through the winter as I'm in love with it. I asked for my usual size and it is perfect. Let's hope I don't spill red wine all the way down it!

Evans Collective - Plus size fashion at LFW

This week you might have noticed a buzz surrounding plus size brand, Evans. The first high street shop to offer clothing in plus sizing did something magical last Tuesday. Evans have always been known for their designer collaborations and trend led capsule collections and their latest collection definitely doesn't disappoint!

Evans presented us with the inaugural plus size fashion show to coincide with London Fashion Week and seeing beautiful clothes, gliding down a catwalk, in a stunning venue really made my heart sing.

This latest collection is called the Design Collective and we were treated to a spectacle of beautiful fabrics, stunning colour palettes and intricate prints. The collection is broken up into different ranges and each range was either designed by top designers such as Clements Ribeiro or Giles Deacon working in collaboration with Evans and their 'shape specialism' or by the winners of the ' Cut for Evans' graduate competition.

Below is a video so you can watch the show for yourself and some pics c/o of Evans of the show. What do you think? Are you as excited as I am about this initiative?

The final wedding of the summer

I have attended three weddings this summer - all three have been amazing and all three have created so many memories that I will cherish forever. My friends Elaine and Sean got married in Ramsgate and it was the perfect day. The weather was phenomenal and the sun shone all day. The ceremony was outside, by the sea and it was lovely to share the day with the couple and so many of my friends.

I wore bright colours to the previous weddings but wanted to wear something a little different for this one. I chose a predominantly black dress from ASOS Curve and I'm sad to say it doesn't seem to be online anymore. Keep checking though. They do have a lovely green version left or a multi version available here, but only in a few sizes. The oatmeal coloured pleats turn this LBD into something a little more exciting and the fitted top half and swing bottom meant that I was comfortable all day. I didn't have to worry about a vpl or the dress being too tight or my bra straps showing. I just put it on at the start of the day and still felt amazing come 2am! In regards to the sizing of this dress, I went with my normal size and it was spot on and I also like that it came to below the knee (slightly longer at the back)

Once I had chosen my dress, the accessories were easy to find. I wore my art deco necklace from Galibardy, a 3D floral clutch from ASOS which sadly isn't available any more and my wide fit New Look heels. The huge bangle is from Liberty but it's a very old purchase I'm afraid.

Here are some outfit pics and a few shots from the day.

Botanical

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of wandering round Notting Hill with some mega babes. Kellie and Nadia came to the UK for a wee visit and Callie and I had such a good day showing them round. We all stopped at various parts of the day to take outfit pics and sat in a cafe sipping iced lattes - making full use of the wifi... the life of a blogger ey!

I decided to wear my botanical dress from ASOS as I knew I'd be out all day and didn't want to fuss over lots of layers. I imagined the dress to be made out of a non-stretch material but was surprised to see that on arrival it was made out of a soft, jersey scuba fabric (it's lovely and thick) I originally bought a size 24 and thought sizing up by two sizes would be right but I had to return it because it was huge! It came down to the middle of my calves and the sleeves were so long. I returned it and got a 22 which is a lot better. I have rolled the sleeves up as you can see in my pics but I think in the future I will get them taken up.

I styled the dress with my old school lace bomber jacket, my lovely Topshop necklace which sadly broke before I had the chance to blog it, my trusty Office high heeled plimsols, a nice cheap bag from Primark which I wear all the time and an old lime green bangle from Topshop that I think goes really well with the colours in the print. I have been enjoying white nails at the moment and my favourite one that I have found is the Barry M varnish. The consistency is really good, it isn't streaky and you can't argue with the prices of Barry M's products!

How I'd Style

One of my lovely readers called Sallyann got in touch last week and asked me how I would style these leather trousers from ASOS. It's a total coincidence but I have actually been eyeing these up recently as now they are in the sale, they are a lot more affordable.

This 'How I'd Style' post was a no brainer for me. I simply decided to put the exact outfit together that I would wear if I bought these trousers. You could dress these trousers up with killer heels, a simple shell top and statement necklace but I wanted to take a more casual approach.

One of my favourite AW prints is a tartan I regularly see hot babes wearing them round their wastes and that's what I wanted to add to this simple monochrome outfit. I've kept the whole thing very clean with no accessories but super comfy Converse. If you like peak caps Sallyann, a black cap would look really cool with this look. The top is a beaut and it's from Violeta at Mango. I like the simple flowy shape and black trim.

I hope you like the look, I am veryyyyy tempted to try these out. If they are not available in your size ladies, may I recommend taking a look at these alternatives: Alice & You PU legging or Junarose PU leather look leggings
