Jumpsuits: The most versatile item in your wardrobe

Jumpsuits have made a reappearance over the last few seasons and I for one am very happy about this. The jumpsuit was a style I previously used to shy away from; but...  how could I ignore something that is so stylish as well as being so comfortable?

Finding the perfect fit is paramount to falling in love with this style. I promise you though, once you find one that you love; you'll never ignore this style again. I recently wore this Ember Jumpsuit from Studio 8* to Curve Fashion Festival back in September and I've not had it off my back since then!

The thing I love about jumpsuits is the fact you can dress them up or down with very little ease! Here are my top 3 reasons why jumpsuits are the best!

Comfortable: Ladies, they are like a posh onesie. What's not to like? 

Versatile: Wear with them dressy trainers like I have in this style post or dress them up with killer heels and a clutch bag.

Layering: Jumpsuits are perfect for this time of year. You can pile on the layers and you'll still look stylish. Try a denim jacket on top of a floral/printed jumpsuit, a cosy knit on top of absolutely any jumpsuit, a T-shirt underneath a sleeveless option or a long line duster jacket like I have.

This particular jumpsuit answers all my jumpsuit needs! It is super comfortable and there is no worry of the dreaded camel toe. I sized up to a 22 in this and it was the right thing to do. I like the relaxed slouchy fit and it means that it doesn't cling to me. This particular jumpsuit comes with a gorgeous gold belt, I tend to wear it when I wear it at night and I love wearing my wider Obi belt during the day. The lace detailing on the sleeves adds a lovely point of difference and I know this is a boring thing to mention but this jumpsuit washes SO well! No bobbles and it holds its shape - perfect!

How to style a sheer blouse

Sheer fabrics, especially shirts/blouses can be quite scary, especially if you're worried about exposing all of your belly or you're not a fan of the world seeing every inch of your bra. The way I have combated this 'fear of sheer' is to find sheer garments that have busy prints on them, tucking them into high waisted skirts or trousers and finally; not giving a flying hoot what anyone thinks!

If you're a fan of sheer but it's classed as too risqué for work, add a strappy top underneath. This gorgeous Studio 8 blouse comes with a coordinating camisole and means you can easily turn this top  from a work wear staple to a sassy night time piece.

We all know that formal work wear isn't really my thing so I decided to style this blouse with a night time twist. I wore a simple, T-shirt bra underneath, tucked it into a voluminous skirt and added some killer heels. I can see myself coming back to this look all the time as it's so wearable and fuss free!

Return of the Mac

So it's the beginning of the July and it should be the height of summer. We should all be lounging in parks, having bbq's and drowning ourselves in Pimms and Aperol but alas; it's the beginning of July and it's raining a lot, it's muggy and the sun seems to have disappeared.

Enter the need for a summer-time cover up that isn't bulky but still means you're covered and not exposed to the "elements". In the last few weeks, the launch of Phase Eight's plus size range, Studio 8 has been picking up momentum and after seeing some of the launch pieces in real life at their press day; it's great to see the site up and running and to be able to get my hands on some of their luxe pieces. Phase Eight is renowned for their sophisticated pieces, their attention to detail and great quality and they have some of the best occasion wear on the High Street - it's now time for us plus size gals to wear their premium and stylish clothing.

This beautiful Mac, is undeniably chic looking and it is such a good cross between a casual water fall jacket and a more structured, classic trench coat. With regards to the sizing, I would recommend picking your usual size or even sizing down as the coat comes up a little big. Give me brights and prints any day but I also love switching things up and sometimes I crave a neutral palette, I love the tone of this grey coat. I've got to admit, I felt kinda special in this outfit.

As much as I love my more quirky or casual outfits, I love dressing up and feeling like a slightly more sophisticated version of myself and I think this outfit is doing just that for me. The culotte jumpsuit is a totally different shape for me. I've never worn anything like it before but you know what? I love it! I like that it nips me in at the waist, shows off a little cleavage and the length is perfect for me as I like to wear things that fall just below the knee. In regards to fit, as with all New Look items, I have had to size up to a 24, even though I usually wear a size 20 so bare that in mind if you fancy buying one. The waist is elasticated so there is a lot of stretch in the jumpsuit.
