Making a splash

I recently wrote about the launch of the new Missguided+ range and I was all excited about getting my hands on some of the pieces. I received some goodies in the post and it's safe to say - I'm still excited. I picked a few pieces but the first outfit I want to show you is this immense *paint splash co-ord.

Initially I sized up as I thought the range would come up small but I actually had to re-order and stuck with my normal sizes as everything came up really big on me. The crop top is long enough if you fancy flashing a little flesh without getting half your tummy out. I like that most of the time you can't really tell it's a two piece. I'm really impressed with the quality of the fabric, it's that scuba material that's nice and spongey and sits well on your lumps and bumps. It kind of skims over everything and it's become so cold here in London that I was thankful today of the thick fabric.

I found some lovely grey tights in M&S which I think go with the print - I think that black tights would have been too harsh for this outfit. You might have noticed along the way that I have a thing for white accessories and this *white clutch is my new favourite bag. It's a great size and has a chain as well which is perfect for when you want to keep your hands free. My shoes are mega old Office high heeled plimsolls and they could definitely do with a spin in the washing machine. Lastly I wanted to talk about my *orange plastic earrings. Students from Central St Martins collaborated with Topshop and these earrings are right up my street, I do love my statement jewellery! The range is on sale at the moment and they are really reasonably priced now.

As snug as a bug in a rug | Christmas Gifting with Evans

When Callie, George and I teamed up with Evans last month we bought you a video showing you guys our favourite party wear pieces (watch it here) but we also spent a good part of the day in onesies, pjs and Christmas jumpers... it's a hard life ;)

I tell you what, I love getting glammed up but there is nothing better than getting in your pjs at the end of the day */taking your bra off* and it's always nice to get snuggled up on the sofa with your pals. If we had been in front of the telly, watching Elf and munching on popcorn I think I would have been in my element!

In this Christmas gifting edit, we show you our fave pjs, onesies, socks and Christmas jumpers and remind you that Evans is a good place to pick all of these things up as well as your party dresses.

 WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

Head over to Evans to snap up lots of festive treats for yourself or your family and friends. I've been living in my fluffy socks since I got them, oohhh and don't forget Christmas Jumper Day on December 12th - they have lots of perfect jumpers online and in store at the moment!

New plus size brand | Ellipsus

As you know one of my favourite things about blogging is introducing you lovely lot to new brands. When Ruth from Ellipsus followed me on twitter last year, her account caught my eye as she promised beautiful clothes, made in the UK dedicated to plus size ladies. I was really thrilled when she got in contact a few weeks ago and let me know her site had launched and Ellipsus was in full swing.

I instantly went to have a look at the website and I wasn't disappointed. Firstly, I was greeted with the beautiful face of Felicity Hayward who I think really suits the image of the brand. I love the layout of the website and how the clothes look on Felicity. This first collection is small, but well formed. A selection of tops, bottoms, dresses and jackets. When Ruth asked if I'd like to review a few items I instantly gravitated towards the Helene Marble Print Dress as I'm a big dress fan but I also thought I'd give the Olivia Trouser a go as well (I will blog about these another day)

Although the dress isn't silk, the quality and feel of it is really very nice. I sized up as I thought it might come up small but in fact it actually is a bit big for me. I like my sleeves to be a bit shorter so I've rolled them up in some of the photos but I reckon if I had gone with my normal size it would have been just fine. The marble print is just so perfect. You guys know I'm a big print fan and although I love fun, bright prints - sometimes you want a beautiful, sophisticated jobby and this dress fits the bill perfectly.

I kept my shoes and accessories quite simple with this look and I wore my boohoo+ leather jacket, Topshop chelsea boots, Zara bag and a lovely necklace from the girls at Impulse PR.

Be sure to check Ellipsus out and let me know what you think.
