SS17's Hottest Colour: Yellow

Ok, so yellow was not a colour I would have previously worn, but since wearing a gorgeous yellow trench at LFW (see previous outfit post here) I have started a mini love affair with colour.

I see yellow as an optimistic shade. Sunshine, spring, it's mood enhancing really.

It can be a tricky colour to style but in my opinion; you can't go wrong with the classic yellow, navy and grey combo. Fancy trying this bright and beautiful shade this spring; here's a look at some of my favourite yellow pieces available on the high street now.

Keep shining this spring & add some yellow to your wardrobe

AW15 Neckline trends

Each season key garments appear online and in store and once you spot one, you start to see them everywhere. I love how every year even the basic styles get an update and sometimes these updates are as simple as a fabric type or a change in neck line.

This Autumn/Winter three neckline trends that I have spotted are 70s scarf/neck tie tops and dresses, Victoriana high neck shirts and maxi dresses and lace up tops and dresses.

I've trawled the internet for plus size options so you don't have to; so grab a cuppa and take a peek at these fab on trend pieces. Simply click on the item you like and it'll take you directly to the correct shop.

Let me know which style is your favourite in the comments below!

The 70s are back!

For Spring Summer '15 many designers looked to the 70s for inspiration and right now the shops are brimming with suede items, fringed pieces, orange/browns and pinks and even the flared jean has made a come back!

Sometimes, it seems like the world of plus size fashion is always on the catch up. I've noticed it can take a lot longer for main stream trends to hit the rails for us bigger girls and that is such a shame! I am happy to say that on this occasion though; many of the brands I shop in, are stocking lot's of 70s items! Hurray!

When a trend as broad at the 70s turns up, it can be hard to know exactly what you should be sporting and how to accessorise your look in the best way. It can all be a bit daunting so I decided to break the trend down into catagories using predominantly plus size clothing and lots of fun shoes and accessories.

If you like the look of an item, simply click the orange square next to it and it'll take you directly to the correct website.

What do you think of this trend? Will you be trying out some of these looks?

Spring has (nearly) sprung ...

So we are a little way off Spring yet but I love buying items out of season, squirrelling them away in my wardrobe and then pulling them out when the new season has started.

Having a browse on ASOS, as per bloody usual and I came across four beauties that I need/want/desire/must have! They all shout Spring 14 at me and think I will have to start saving for them before they disappear off the site, never to be seen again.

Thanks to working within the fashion industry I already have an idea what trends will be hitting the stores next season and here are my four must haves.

1- ASOS Enchanted Garden Print Midi
2 - ASOS Jewelled Dream Necklace
3 - ASOS Curve Acid Wash Denim Dungaree Dress
4 - ASOS Premium Floral Embellished Jacket
